DESCRIPTION

GEC assists innovators in developing and testing new innovations in solar energy and energy systems. In GEC innovation process the time from idea to first test concept is normally maximum 6 months. GEC test and innovation park consists of approximately 60 different PV systems of totally 250kW and several battery systems, including micro grids in both DC and AC. GEC has a wide network of partners including several universities, that can be potential partners in joint projects. With a history from participation in several ERA-Net and other projects, GEC is an experienced project partner.

AREAS OF SPECIAL COMPETENCE

Developing and testing of PV modules, power electronics, battery systems, PV mounting systems, BIPV solutions, solar tents, PV control systems, battery system control, load prediction, PV training concepts, logging of solar radiation.

WHAT CAN BE TESTED

At GEC Living Lab testing can be done on smart control of PV systems, battery systems, load control, load prediction, operation of PV systems, control of micro grids, hybrid systems, testing of business models.

AVAILABLE INFRASTRUCTURE

Advanced weather station with 7 solar radiation measuring equipment, test park with 60 PV systems, 30 different PV mounting systems, test rig for PV batteries, solar logging data since 2009, 2 solar tents, AC and DC micro grid, PV training.
