ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems: POLICY BRIEFS AND SPOTLIGHTS

Policy Briefs and Spotlights count among the main outputs of the JPP SES Knowledge Community. Both are regularly developed within the knowledge co-creation activities of the JPP SES Knowledge Community Working Groups. Policy Briefs and Spotlights reflect the perspective of JPP SES projects and further experts of the JPP SES Knowledge Community on elected reference documents in smart energy systems and thereby provide a means of relating JPP SES projects to the rest of the smart energy systems world. The annually repeated process of discussing, developing, drafting and disseminating Policy Briefs and Spotlights is facilitated by the JPP SES Support Team.

JPP SES Policy Briefs

Policy Briefs provide informed recommendations developed by scientific experts in smart energy systems united within the JPP SES Knowledge Community. On the basis of their profound experience and expertise, these researchers develop an informed opinion of key aspects which – according to their perspective – should be considered by decision makers on different levels. The recommendations are primarily targeted at policy makers, managers of funding programmes and projects, regulators as well as representatives from business and science.

JPP SES Spotlights

Spotlights provide an update on the ongoing activities and achievements as well as the (intermediate) findings of the research, development and demonstration projects and further experts of the JPP SES Knowledge Community. Spotlights are developed on the basis of a selection of reference documents in smart energy systems and thereby allow for setting JPP SES projects in context within the landscape of initiatives outside of the JPP SES initiative.
