Our testbed is used for the validation of intelligent control algorithms for the providing of flexibilities in grids dominated by renewable energies by sector coupling. The main focus is on the use of P2M/V2G applications.
Modelling of power systems in the cellular approach with high share of renewables, technologies for flexibilities using sector coupling, use of µPMUs in distribution grids, HiL.
Our real-time grid simulator offers an API to Python, which allows control algorithms for smart grids to be integrated into our testbed. These algorithms are validated in HiL. Additionally, we have the possibility to integrate newly developed intelligent systems into our testbed, model integration of renewables or EVs into existing grids and test their impact.
Testbed components are: hardware simulations of wind power plants, PV plants, combined heat and power plants, load simulation and EV simulation. Further components: fuel cells, battery storage, real-time grid simulator. Measurement: µPMUs.
