SEtrade Testlab

DESCRIPTION

Our testbed provides a platform of integrated systems that allows us to study and investigate the future energy market. We focus on optimizing decentralized renewable energy units and applying different commercialization concepts in the German energy sector. We do not only focus on electricity commercialization but also on energy storage systems and the commercialization of their flexibility. Based on our optimization tools, data and decentralized units we analyze the future of the energy market.

AREAS OF SPECIAL COMPETENCE

Optimization and modelling of storage batteries and solar power plants as well as the energy market. Simulation, sector coupling, supplying solutions for system flexibility, electromobility, energy commercialization concepts (PPA and CPA),

WHAT CAN BE TESTED

Electricity commercialization concepts, integration of renewable energy production (especially solar farms) with, storage systems, EV, hydrogen, etc. Business models for clean electricity. We have access to energy trading platforms as well as GOOs (guarantees of origin). We can provide customer experience/satisfaction /acceptance tests for products & services.

AVAILABLE INFRASTRUCTURE

Our living lab is connected to renewable decentralized power generating units (solar and wind as well as storage), charging stations for EV and to commercial power customers.
