uni-lab.dk offers access to a set of hyperconnected living labs across Denmark. The living labs are various in terms of typology and objectives. Some of those are buildings (offices, schools, residential, old-heritage buildings) and can be used, for instance, for testing smart HVAC solutions, some of those are energy grids (power grid, district heating grid).
Any technology related to the use of energy and data, at software or at hardware level, can be tested, implemented and validated in our living labs and testing facilities.
The list of our affiliated LLs includes:
HTK: Schools' buildings
Novasol: Summer houses and swimming pools
TREFOR: Power Grid
SDU OU44: Campus Building
KONSTANT: Power Grid
Aalborg Forsyning: District Heating
Fredericia Fjernvarme: District heating
DTU ICIEE: Testing facilities for indoor environment studies and development of energy solutions for buildings
Project Zero: City of Sønderbog
Technologies for system flexibility, sector coupling, modeling of multisector energy systems, buildings' management systems, use of IoT technology, communication of wireless sensors, indoor environment and comfort, energy usage in buildings.
Testing of integration of renewable energy production and energy storage in the different systems; Studies (interviews, questionnaires, etc.) on customer acceptance/perception of a service innovation; Development of new business models; Development of control methodologies and technologies; Testing of connected sensors and actuators. Testing hardware in LABs
The living labs include the main power grid and distribution networks, district heating networks and independent heat consumers (residential/non residential buildings), testing facilities/labs.
A platform for data exchange is available.
Get in touch with our contact point via email or phone; We have an application process for our validation support - see more information on each single Living Lab on www.uni-lab.dk.
Our service offering includes energy system data, modeling and validation services. Due to varying project scopes, pricing is defined individually based on the services/work contribution requested. The public-level data of the energy systems is free of charge for our ecosystem companies.
