Vienna, Austria - 18 September 2019: In a first of its kind cooperation, European Joint Programming Platform ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems and global Mission Innovation jointly call for research and innovation projects. Join the matchmaking and submit your expressions of interest now! With the Joint Call 2019 for Energy Storage Solutions ("MICall19”) JPP SES in collaboration with MI opened a call for global transnational projects. The funds available amount above 22 million euros.
Technology, Products and Services and Market Models for Integrated Storage Systems
The Joint Call 2019 addresses challenges of secure and resilient energy supply with up to 100% renewables with a main focus on the development of integrated storage systems. Transnational consortia are invited to submit proposals for projects which contribute to the development of sustainable, integrated storage solutions for both short- and long-term storage. Solutions employing electrical, electrochemical, material, thermal and/or mechanical storage can be developed and shall enable collaboration between stakeholders.
Beyond technological solutions, also adoption shall be addressed by the projects. This includes investigating market and regulation topics and as well as identifying and involving need-owners in development. Projects shall further contribute to solving the crucial challenges as identified by
Mission Innovation and European roadmaps and implementation maps.
Comprehensive Support for Funded Projects
Funded Research, Development and Demonstration (RDD) projects benefit not only from being part of a global innovation network, but also of a network of
Associated Partners providing the "need-owner” perspective and supporting projects from proposal phase until market uptake. Further, a
transnational Knowledge Community enables exchange with other energy experts and brings project results to a broad audience. Administrative, communication and content-related support is provided by the ERA-Net SES Knowledge Management Team through information material, events and feedback along the project lifetime.
