ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems at the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW)
ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems (ERA-Net SES) will support the energy day "EU Funding & matchmaking for Smart Energy Systems” on June 7, 2018 at the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) organised by Flux 50. We would like to invite you to this opportunity to learn about our funding programme and establish valuable contacts.
About the Event
The event will be held in Brussels, Belgium on June 7, 2018 in the framework of the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), an event launched by the European Commission to focus on sustainable energy policy issues, latest policy developments, best practices and sustainable energy ideas. At the event, public authorities, private companies, NGOs and consumers are invited to promote initiatives to save energy and move towards renewables for clean, secure and efficient power.
With ERA-Net SES we provide a sustainable and service-oriented joint programming platform to finance transnational RDI projects, developing technologies and solutions in thematic areas such as Smart Power Grids, Regional and Local Energy Systems, Heating and Cooling Networks, Digital Energy and Smart Services.
The focus of the event will be the recently launched ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems call with more than EUR 30 Mio of funds for transnational European projects on smart, integrated regional energy systems (RegSys). ERA-Net SES will support the event with a presentation on the RegSys Call and a matchmaking session for potential project applicants. Prior to that, Andrea Strachinescu, Head of Unit New Energy Technologies in DG Energy, will present the European framework for energy technology research & innovation, followed by presentations of smart energy projects from all over Europe.
Flux 50 invites energetic innovators and researchers to
- learn about top notch projects in Europe
- meet members of the Flemish energy spearhead cluster Flux50 like ABB, Engie, Imec, GE, Proximus, Port of Antwerp, Th!nk-E, etc. plus members of other European cleantech & energy clusters
ERA-Net SES contributes to the event
- with key information about the most recent funding opportunities and the new focus area on Integrated Regional Energy Systems,
- a co-creation session for new projects: meet partners and build capacities on existing needs, opportunities and barriers for smart energy systems on the regional level.
