About the Event
Speaking a common language and having comparable approaches to Smart Grid architectures is important for cross fertilization and monitoring project progress. Big questions for this Working Group are approaches such as security by design and other architectural ways to ensure data security and privacy as well as high resilience. The handling of big data and cloud computing approaches need to be mapped in architectures as well. Microgrids and cellular approaches to Smart Grid architectures shall be discussed and evaluated regarding their usability for the ERA-Net SG + and other national or transnational projects.
The first workshop of the Working Group will mainly cover the following topics:
- state of the art models for smart grids ICT (M/490, SGAM etc.)
- trends in overall architectures (e. g. centralized versus decentral control and data management)
- software platforms for horizontal services (e. g. results from EU Future Internet PPP)
